An early start to Friday Frolics this week...

.... as I knew that I was going to have a busy day on Friday and out to the first play of the Heidelberg Theatre Company in the evening, I cheated a little and started my FF on Thursday.

When I went to my Stash pile of UFOs and WIPs, I found this ....

Proverbi 3 and 4 by Paola Gattiblu

Now, whilst technically NOT a WIP or UFO, I did finish the top design, Proverbi 3 way back in January 2016.

Click on the image if you would like to read that blog post from my main blog, Kitten Stitching.

... and I have been meaning to stitch Proverbi 4 ever since.  So, I decided that NOW was the time.... and this is where I am up to now.

As my Rotation Relay for the Olympic Challenge has got a bit out of hand, I am going to focus on this for project for the rest of the weekend. Hopefully, I will get close to a finish.

Now, you may notice that neither of the cats are black, although this is what the design calls for.  The reason for this is that I have stitched Furio into Proverbi 3

and Proverbi 4 will be Milo, of course!

Ooops! Look that naughty Furio has managed to sneak his tail into Milo's photo!

Well, that is all for me for now,

Enjoy your weekend,

May you get lots and lots of stitching done.

Barbara - The Flashing Scissors (2018 -1)

Hiya,

Long time no see!

I settled down, Friday evening in front of the TV, knowing our sweet little monsters (that's cats, in case you didn't guess) were fast asleep upstairs, and started work on this cute little kit:

Love & Roses
The Flashing Scissors
"Love & Roses" brooch
I've written more about "Love & Roses" HERE, I hope you'll come over to see.

The rest of the weekend I joined in with Joyszce's IH&SW which helped me move my "Stitch by Stitch" project along very nicely.

Were you stitching along?

Hugs,
Barbara xxx

A Trilogy of Stitching for FF update...

Great progress was made on all three of my Friday Frolics choices yesterday - the Winter Olympics are certainly a great excuse for some stitching time!

1. Country Farm Sampler, a Blackwork Kit by Eva Rosenstand

Before:

Progress:

I have nearly finished the Church and I stitched the sweet little girl.

2. F is for Friend by Heartstring Samplery

Before:

Progress:

The dress on the left-hand friend.

3. Santa's Sleigh Ride by JBW Designs

Before:

 Progress:

I finished the reindeer and his harness and started on the tree in the sleigh - this may be a Happy Dance by the end of the weekend, fingers crossed!

So, that is my Friday Frolics for this week.

How about you?  How did you go?

A trilogy of stitching for this Friday's Stitching....

Because I am obsessed with watching the Winter Olympics - Go Aussie, Go! - I have chosen three WIPs to work on this Friday.  This is to keep up with Rotation Relay Winter Olympics Challenge for the WIPocalypse FB group.

Luckily for me, I tick lots of boxes this weekend as it is IHSW and FNSI, also.

1. Country Farm Sampler, a Blackwork Kit by Eva Rosenstand

2. F is for Friend by Heartstring Samplery

3. Santa's Sleigh Ride by JBW Designs

Tune back in tomorrow to see how much I get done on each project.

Frosty Hopes...

....by Just Nan is my choice for Friday Frolics today.  Truly appropriate as I am just watching the Aussies compete in the Moguls at the Winter Olympics.

The last time I stitched on this was in April last year - you can read all about it in this post.

What are you stitching today?
