A rather sad Secret Santa....

Hmm! Not a lot of progress on Secret Santa last night.  As I said last post - I had not had the opportunity to touch needle to fabric until well after dinner but here goes anyway...

Before:

Secret Santa
Lavender & Lace
Fabric: 28 ct Dirty Linen (I think)
Suggested Floss (I think)

After:

Here's hoping that you all had more success than I did last night....

An oldie barely touched!

This week's Friday Frolic is a very oldie that has barely been started... hopefully I will make some progress on it during tonight's stitching session....

Secret Santa
Lavender & Lace
Fabric: 28 ct Dirty Linen (I think)
Suggested Floss (I think).

I had better get a wriggle on, hadn't I?

What are you stitching for Friday Frolics or this long weekend here in Melbourne?

hugs,

P.S. The last time I pulled this out was over a year ago for FF.

Check that post out here.

My Fourth Frolic for 2017...

In true FF fashion, I faithfully went to my Girls' Nest to randomly choose a WIP/UFO.  This week my hand fell upon this gorgeous very large UFO....

"Secret Santa" by Lavender and Lace.

Now, as is usual with a lot of my WIPs/UFOs, I have no idea when I started it, but as there is absolutely no mention of it on my main blog, Kitten Stitching, and I started that blog in 2011, it must be sometime before then!

This is what it looked like before FF: (not very much at all, really!)

And this is where I was up to after Friday night.....

And this is what it will look like - one day!

I hope that everyone else had a really great Friday Frolics, too.

hugs, Kaye

Serendipitous Jo's Thirty-Fifth Frolic of the Year

Last Friday was the 26th of the month which means it is time for the Now I Know My ABCs SAL on FB.

I chose a design by Lavender & Lace for this SAL but have completely changed the colours and will be adding various little extras to make it my own.  Or  mine, Marilyn and Just Nan's!

stitched on 28 count Tiger Lily evenweave by Sparklies

I also finished another cube, L this time:

Now I have three cubes and the computer from 2001

The backing fabric is the same print in three different colours.

Carmie's Update...

Hi everyone,

Carmie has  again asked me to post a progress pic on her behalf as she is still in the process of entering the exciting new world of owning a tablet and hopes to be able to post pics herself soon.

This is the latest news on her tablet purchasing:

"Sun [day] I went to teach my grand daughter Jazmin how to make apple pies. She's the one helping me with the tablet. She has it narrowed down for me I should be picking one up next week-end if nothing comes up."

That is great news, Carmie.  Here is her previous progress pic...

"Angel of Grace is a 1991 chart by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum for Lavender & Lace. I have several of her charts. Have 2 I'm working on."

Here is a pic of what she will look like finished:

... and here is Carmie's update:

Wonderful progress, Carmie and thanks to Jazmin for helping you with the photos.
